We Believe Healing is Golden
Meet Stacey Haslam, the co-founder of the Kintsugi Institute.
I help professionals, their significant others, and their families manage the stresses of high performing careers and life styles so they can have more fulfilling relationships, careers, and lives in general. As a trauma informed therapist I deeply understand how the past informs the present, how previous hurts can lodge deep inside us and impact how we show up at work and at home. I have a deep and abiding belief that we can change, we can overcome what may seem broken in our lives, and that we can heal and ultimately become better than we are now. I’ve seen that transformation in my own life and in the lives of those that I work with.
I enjoy working with professionals, wherever you are in your career, seeking to manage the emotional challenges of professional life. I’ve seen first hand how those challenges can creep into home life and how deep underlying personal issues can impact careers. I also have a heart for working with those individuals experiencing betrayal, loss, and overcoming trauma, helping them heal. I know how all of these things can impact existing relationships and I deeply care about couples experiencing relationship challenges. As a marriage and family therapist, I want to see relationships succeed, heal, and ultimately thrive.
I have a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am pre-licensed in the state of Tennessee. I employ several therapeutic modalities in my practice, including: EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Positive Psychology, CBT, and Restoration Therapy.
I have been married 25 years, have 5 exceptional children many of whom are overcoming the challenges related to being gifted and talented, twice exceptional, and having ADHD. I love music (family jam sessions are my fave) and being outdoors in the mountains.
Together with my husband, Jared, we co-founded the Kinstugi Institute to bring greater mental health (and a life satisfaction) to professionals and the work place. Beyond helping with therapy, take a closer look at how we can help your business here.

What’s in Our Name?
We were first exposed to kintsugi while living in Japan on an overseas corporate assignment; it's the ancient Japanese artform of mending broken pottery and highlighting the repaired breaks with gold. But kintsugi is more than just a way to repair broken pottery. It is a symbol of resilience, of taking something broken and turning it into something new and beautiful. Kintsugi is not only the inspiration for our company name but becomes the backdrop for the work we are doing at the Kintsugi Institute: providing transformational change for professionals, both in the office and in the home. Indeed, we believe that healing is golden!
